This poster series explores fundamental design principles through a cohesive cut-paper visual style. Using stylized penguin characters in a simplified arctic environment, each composition focuses on a specific concept—unity, balance, variety, hierarchy, proportions, and dominance.
The project began with hand-drawn ideation sketches to test layout, scale, and visual relationships. These ideas were then translated into digital compositions that mimic layered paper textures, creating depth and clarity through shape, contrast, and spacing.
The final series demonstrates how core design principles can be communicated through minimal forms while maintaining a playful and visually engaging aesthetic.
